Avalanche Software has just released a new title update for Hogwarts Legacy. According to the release notes, the June 5 patch is 55GB in size on PC and brings content to the game that was exclusive to PlayStation consoles. So let’s take a closer look.
The June 5th update unlocks the Haunted Shop mission. As stated, this mission was previously exclusive to Sony consoles. So it’s really cool that we can finally experience it. Well, that is if you still have the game installed on your system. It also makes all special items and cosmetics available. This includes the Onyx Hyppogriff mount, the Felix Felicis potion, and the Shopkeeper cosmetic set.
Additionally, this update adds a photo mode. This mod will allow players to capture screenshots of their Hogwarts Legacy experience and all of their newly unlocked cosmetics. I’ve never been a fan of photo mode in games, but that’s just me. Note that “Photo Mode” will become available after completing the mission to gain access to the field guide.
And there is more. This update also includes some changes and fixes for PC players only. It updates NVIDIA DLSS and Intel XeSS to their latest versions. Unfortunately, however, AMD FSR is still at version 2.0. The update also cleans up rogue semi-transparent meshes in BVH for Ray Tracing. Plus, it fixes an issue where colors would suddenly change when moving the camera in Hogsmeade.
Overall, this latest update is a welcome addition. The previous patch for this game came out in June 2023. So it’s really nice to see such an update a year later.
Speaking of Hogwarts Legacy, you might also want to try the following mods for it. In theory, they should be compatible with the latest version of the game. So you can download a really cool VR Mod. Then we have this Multiplayer Mod which is still in Early Access. Ah, the beauty of paid mods. Additionally, you can find a mod that allows you to play as Harry Potter. Then, we have this amazing first person mod. And finally, you can download this exact dialog choices mod.
As always, Steam will download this patch the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find his complete change.
